In February 2020, InterState announced plans for its 14th annual Swing for the Wish charity event in support of Make-A-Wish Northeastern & Central California and Northern Nevada.
The announcement set a fundraising goal of $60,000 and invited the community to support children’s wishes through donations and sponsorships.
The Original Event Plans
Planned activities included a flight competition, longest-drive and closest-to-the-pin competitions, a putting contest, game prizes and a silent auction.
What Happened Next
The in-person event was subsequently canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. Fundraising continued through an online auction, sponsorships and donations.
